This Astra launch video spoof is so well done — “ChatGPT for Dishwashing”. 🙂

@chet Oh no, sorry. It’s not supposed to do any processing. Micro.blog can optionally level the audio after it has been uploaded, but I don’t see that enabled for your account on first glance. What format was the audio file you imported? Do you mind emailing it to us if you still have it?

@JohnPhilpin It’s true, I blogged a screenshot recently here. I’m not sure I’m going to stick with this, because it does add some overhead / delays when the model has to compact everything behind the scenes. But I like the simplicity. I rarely create new threads right now.

This video on X from OpenAI’s Max Stoiber about ChatGPT plugin review is a reminder of just how much better and more transparent Apple could be with managing the App Store. Sounds like Max is actually on the side of developers, not against us, while still balancing the needs of users.

@davoh That’s great too. It does feel connected in a way.

On the home AI front, I decided to get the Beelink EQi. Transferring the brain of my OpenClaw to it today. I wish this could be a Mac mini, but the cost of Apple storage is ridiculous. Much easier to drop a 4 TB SSD in this.

@Jacek @jasonkratz Sorry you haven’t been included yet! We try to make Discover just a slice of things, so it doesn’t include everything, but I’d love to see your posts there. I think people would love your photos too. (Maybe an opt-in directory would be good and I’m overthinking it…)

Neat example from Simon Willison of using voice to develop a feature for his blog while cooking, talking and watching the preview on his laptop: We went on like this for about half an hour (the time it took to cook dinner). The model would reply and occasionally ask clarifying questions, then get to work […]
