Boyfriend and I consider ourselves Foodies. We like to go to restaurants and give them a grade. I figured why not share the grades with you, so that you can get an overall idea of the restaurant.
The fanciest place that we have been to was a place called Pigall’s. The chef was Chef Jean-Robert de Cavel. We went there for a celebration and sat at the chef’s table. It was awesome. If you have never had Chef Jean-Robert’s food, you should try it. He’s opening a new restaurant soon that I am sure will be awesome as well.
We love to watch Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, The F Word, Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Last Restaurant Standing, Good Eats, Chopped, Dinner Impossible, and Iron Chef America.
Boyfriend is a much better chef than I am, and he is picky. I can cook, but his food is much more flavorful. I like myself to the prep cook and even then I don’t always get everything cut evenly if I rush.
One item to note regarding any new restaurants to our area is that we can’t get in the new place for months. Where we live there must be some unwritten rule that as soon as a new restaurant opens that every local that has transportation must go to the restaurant.
For example, when the new Chick-Fil-A opened, it bogged traffic all the way down on streets all around the restaurant and even on the streets leading to the streets around the restaurant. They had to have people there to direct traffic and the drive through line was unbelievable. Note: this was two weeks after they opened. I have no idea how bad it was on opening day.
Currently, I have 10 different categories which will be judged out of 5 stars with 5 being the best. The overall score will not be weighted in anyway, but will simply be the sum of all the categories divided by the number of categories.
